The Main Goal
Increase the access to drinking water at Moundsville Park

The Purpose
There was no adequate source of drinking water in the park. This can cause a threat to health, but can also bring more people into the park.

22.4% of the Population is experiencing homelessness

22.3% of the Population is of the elderly community

Created physical and observable change to the built and social environment at East End Park

Stronger Health Equity

In close proximity to those in low income housing and those experiencing homelessness; The water station is completely accessible by foot and is easy to use for all demographics and ages

The Bottom Line

With this project Marshall County was able to create partnerships and lasting collaborations for future enhancements and additions to the park. The hydration station is successfully running and has recieved amazing feedback.
