Project Outcomes

Environmental Changes

Created physical and observable change by adding outdoor pickleball courts to Williamson Parks and Recreation.

Building Capacity: Stronger Communities

The new courts have provided a physical activity outlet for the community. The courts are busy in the spring, summer, and fall. Pickleball is a fun, accessible, and low-impact activity that offers health benefits for people of all ages and abilities

The Bottom Line

With this project the Williamson community was able to get more involved in a fun and accessible sport as another way of engaging in physical activity. Community members are hoping to continue the growth of the sport and have become involved with schools to introduce the sport to the youth.
