Gave students access to materials that allowed them to actively participate in multiple sports and activities.
With the help of this grant, Timberwood Elementary has “allowed our students to engage in structured physical activity in ways that promote teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship, and overall health. Having immediate access to diverse equipment has expanded opportunities for participation, increased student engagement, and supported the development of lifelong healthy habits.” The equipment, combined with the new gym, has given the students an opportunity to play hockey, soccer, whiffle ball, basketball, football, Gaga ball, gymnastics, and much more. This is an investment in students’ physical well-being that will continue to support healthy and active learning environments.
