Success Story
Acquired a new massage chair for the staff lounge, 7 new picnic tables for students to utilize at recess or outdoor learning, and a new portable first aid kit.
With this project, Athens Elementary has created a new way for teachers to relax. This has contributed to the positive morale on campus. In addition to providing students with a new place to learn, the picnic tables have also been utilized during a school dance to feed the staff and students. The tables were also put together by a Boy Scout which helped him work towards Eagle Scout status. Athens has also made the school nurse’s job easier by giving them a kit that can be utilized around campus.
