Education Sector Highlight: March Mathness | Oakvale Elementary
Oakvale implemented a healthy month called March Mathness. This is a school-wide activity held every Friday in March where they compete in math relay races.
At Sun Valley Elementary, students and staff are making hydration a healthy habit! With over 300 students and 100 staff members, the school saw an opportunity to make water more accessible — and the results have been refreshing.
By installing an additional water filling station, the school has cut down wait times and made it easier for everyone to refill bottles throughout the day. This small change has made a big difference. This promotes better hydration, supports overall wellness, and reinforces healthy habits that last beyond the classroom.
Healthy students are happy, focused students and Sun Valley Elementary is showing how simple environmental improvements can create a positive ripple effect on health and learning.
